What is a CSA?
Do you want to know where your food comes from and to know your local farmer? Do you want a source of healthy, organically grown veggies and eggs each week? If so, then a CSA share is perfect for you! CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, represents a partnership between our farm and you. As partners, we will provide you with a full seasons’ worth of the freshest, healthiest vegetables we can produce, and in exchange, you agree to stand with us during the highs and lows of the season and support our endeavour. We ask that you purchase your CSA share ahead of the season to help us through our most expensive time of the year, when we are purchasing seeds, supplies, and equipment. Your investment in our farm at the beginning of the season brings a return of many, many fresh vegetables during the coming year! Please contact us if you have any questions about the CSA model!
How We Grow
We grow our vegetables using organic principles and do not use any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. We grow varieties that are specially selected for taste and quality and harvest most crops the same day that we deliver them to you.
CSA Details
Our CSA is a vegetable box program consisting of 20 weekly boxes of mixed seasonal vegetables and some herbs. We will select the items for each box based on what is in-season at the time, and will include plenty of variety as the season goes on. The first CSA pick up is the week of June 15, 2020, and we will deliver the boxes weekly to our central pick-up locations in Cambridge and Waterloo.
A small box will contain 6 – 7, and a large box 9 – 10 items, with the exact amount varying based on the season. At our pick-up locations we will provide a swap box of additional veggies which you can use to exchange some items in your box, if desired.
We will provide regular emails throughout the season to update you on the farm, plus provide recipes and suggestions of how to prepare delicious dishes from the veggies currently on offer.
Harvest and delivery days are Tuesdays or Thursdays. We will provide advanced notice on the weekend prior of the veggies you can expect to receive the following week so you can shop accordingly.
Shares will be delivered for free on to Healthlink (350 Conestoga blvd,
Cambridge) on Thursdays and GHD (455 Phillip St, Waterloo) on Tuesdays and free farm pickup is on Friday evening. For a fee of $5/week we will deliver your share to a cooler placed outside your home within the Tri-City area. If you can recruit 3 friends to pick up at your home, you will become an official drop point and delivery will be free.

We prefer to receive full payment for your share in a single transaction as we manually handle all incoming payments. Payment is due upon registration unless you have selected Payment Plan. Payment includes a $150 non-refundable deposit. Shares may be cancelled anytime up to June 1, 2020 and receive a refund, minus the deposit amount. Please contact us for cancellations after June 1, 2020.
*Payment Plans based on 3 equal payments are available for those who cannot pay for their share in a single transaction. Please pay your first installment upon registration to secure your spot, and provide 2 post-dated cheques for the remaining balance. The share should be paid in full by June 1, 2020.
